After Graduation

After graduation I want to teach at St. Paul's Episcopal School. My nephews go to school there so I want to be closer to them. I also want to teach and coach at St. Paul's because they have a very good academic and athletic program. I believe St. Paul's prepares children well for college and I want to take part in that.

Approaches to Teaching

I want to teach my students like I would coach my team. I want to coach them by letting them do and learn, not by sitting in the front of the classroom and reading to my classroom out of a book.

Teaching Techniques

I plan on using instructional strategies in my classrooms such as: such as brain compatible learning, project based learning, inquiry based learning, problem solving, technology skills learning styles, assessment curriculum design, collaborative projects, resources, preparation, learning, centers and online learning just to name a few.

Teaching Tools

I want to make my classroom fun and inviting and easy to learn in. I will use lots of pictures and videos. I will also incorporate a lot of technology into my and my students everyday routine. I will prepare study games, and make activities for my students to actively engage in and have to work through as a team. There will not be a boring day in my classroom!!

About Me

I am 23 years old and I attend the University of South Alabama. I recently moved back to Mobile after attending Augusta State University in Augusta Georgia where I finished my eligibility playing volleyball. I also coached there for a year after I finished my eligibility. I am a Social Science major and I want to teach and coach in High school. I want to make a difference in the world and I believe I can do that by being a teacher.
